At TCA, Fisher has played a key role in the Asian Development Bank's Water Awareness Program, having responsiblity for the media aspects of this initiative. This has included the development of the Asia Pacific Water Media Network and the design and implementation of ten water media workshops throughout Asia which have trained more than 280 journalists. He also spearheaded the launch of the World Commission on Dams' final report in November 2000, resulting in widespread media coverage Fisher has global experience in developing strategic communications programs for companies, institutions and governments in a variety of sectors, including banking and finance, electronic commerce, manufacturing, water and oil and gas. Activities include communications audits, crisis management programs, media training and messaging workshops. Countries and regions, in which Fisher has developed communications campaigns, include Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Central Asia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam. Fisher graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in politics in 1991 and did a Master's Degree in International Relations at the American University, Washington DC. While working in Washington, he worked in the press office of a US Senator and developed briefing papers on countries as diverse as Cyprus, El Salvador and Turkey. During the early 1990's, Fisher worked as a volunteer for the Northern Ireland Children Holiday Scheme (NICHS) - a Belfast based organisation which brings together inner-city children from both sides of the religious divide in the province. He also spent a year teaching English in Eastern Turkey where he experienced some of the internal tensions within the country. He is married and has one child.
