John Matthis, Transnational Corporate Advisory Services, Inc

F. John Mathis Ph. D. founded Transnational Corporate Advisory Services (TCAS) in 1989 to assist companies and executives to understand and benefit from the global trade and finance issues affecting international business today.

Specialized training, research and consulting is provided to assist companies to achieve their international objectives or help them understand the implications of globalisation on their domestic activities. TCAS brings together industry experts for roundtable discussions and intensive customized seminars to help companies identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities as well as helping them to avoid potential pitfalls and international risks.

Mathis is Professor of International Finance, Banking and Trade at Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona, where he was formerly Chairman of the World Business Department. Prior to coming to Thunderbird in 1988, Mathis held senior finance positions with the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation. He had earlier worked as a senior economist at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York, and he was the Vice President and Chief International Economist at Continental Bank (now Bank of America) in Chicago.

Mathis has written and edited several books including Offshore Lending by US Commercial Banks and has contributed numerous articles to prestigious journals. He has developed and presented training programs in international trade finance, capital market products and financial management to executives in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Latin America.
